The Mountrail County Commissioners unanimously approved nominations for 2026 leadership at their Dec. 2 meeting in Stanley, naming Trudy Ruland chairman and Wayne Olson vice-chairman.
The board first approved the meeting agenda and minutes from Nov. 18, 2025 before holding nominations. The roll-call vote recorded Ruland, Rice, Hollekim, DeGroot and Olson voting yes for the chairman nomination; the vice-chair nomination passed with Olson, DeGroot, Ruland, Rice and Hollekim voting yes. The board adjourned at 11:19 A.M. with its next regular meeting scheduled for Dec. 16, 2025 at 9:00 A.M.
