Interim Administrative Coordinator Amy Oliver updated the board on the Community Development Grant Program, reporting $115,000 in available funding for municipal projects (awards up to $10,000 each) and that the county received roughly $145,000 in applications. The review committee ranked applications and selected alternates in case funds remain after awards close.
Oliver also presented an ARPA accounting summary: total ARPA funds of $5,986,167, interest earned of about $93,500, and total spent to date approximately $1,900,000. She addressed recent news about a possible 'claw back' by clarifying the county’s funds in the bank are not subject to being clawed back. Oliver said the county reapplied for a grant to establish a storage/training facility for Emergency Management vehicles and FEMA-approved sheltering but was not selected last year.
