Board appoints 48 election judges for 2026 primary and general elections

Auditor Powers presented the county's list of election judges for the 2026 primary and general elections, explaining the judges have completed two hours of training and that the county will make assignments for early voting and absentee ballot processing as needed. "They will all be trained, they've all been trained now they have their 2 hours of training," Powers said.
Commissioners asked about the number of judges (48 cited in discussion) and the auditor confirmed training and that judges will be processed as temporary hires for payroll/statute compliance. Commissioner Gamel moved to approve the attached list for the state primary on 08/11/2026 and the state general election on 11/03/2026; the motion passed unanimously.
