Paul Johnson reelected chair; Dennis Dalbec chosen vice chair of Douglas County Civil Service Commission

Commissioner Dennis Dalbec moved to approve the slate, with Commissioner Ron Leino seconding the nomination of Paul Johnson as chair; the motion was carried by unanimous ballot and Johnson was declared elected. Later in the same motion sequence, Commissioner Mary Jane Wesolowski moved and Leino seconded the nomination of Dalbec as vice chair; that nomination also passed by unanimous ballot and Dalbec was elected vice chair.
The two officer elections were recorded as unanimous decisions by the commissioners present. Four commissioners were listed as present for the meeting: Paul Johnson, Dennis Dalbec, Mary Jane Wesolowski and Ron Leino; Del Kangas was recorded as absent. The meeting minutes state the nominations were handled by motion and a unanimous ballot.
The commission did not attach conditions or amendments to the elections. The next scheduled meeting is Dec. 2, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., where routine procedural matters including administering any oath of office are planned.
