Board approves transfer of about 2.5 acres to Consolidated Utility District

The Water Resources Board voted to approve Boundary Amendment Number 12, moving roughly 2.5 acres of a developer's planned subdivision from the board’s water service area to the Consolidated Utility District (CUD). Valerie, a staff member presenting the item, said the area in question covers the cul-de-sacs of the first phase and is “about 2.5 acres.”

Valerie said the property is part of a larger master plan proposed by the developer identified in the record as Bridal Berry Berryman and that the board would retain service to the remainder of the master plan. She cautioned that CUD “cannot serve the project and provide fire protection” to the first section immediately and that off-site improvements along Elam Road would be required for CUD to fully serve the southern portion.
