Pittsford panel approves Giddings subdivision; zoning administrator authorized to draft decision

The Pittsford Planning Commission voted unanimously Sept. 26 to approve a subdivision application submitted by the Eloise Giddings Revokable Trust Agreement, and authorized Zoning Administrator Jeff Biasuzzi to prepare the approved written decision for signature.

Biasuzzi, the town's zoning administrator, told the commission the hearing concerned a zoning rule that limits ‘‘simple parceling’’ to one parcel off a source property every 365 days and that the Giddings family completed a simple parceling earlier in the year before requesting a second subdivision. He said the subject property totals about 19 acres and that the proposal shows a 3.2±-acre homestead; the submission also includes a State wastewater permit identified as WW-1-3886. "The reason for the hearing is regarding a specific section of the zoning regulations," Biasuzzi said, explaining the regulatory background and the State permit requirement.

Commissioner Rick Conway, who moved to approve the permit, described the prepared subdivision and noted the lot size as 2.10 acres in his review, with access on West Creek Road providing about 161 feet of frontage. Susan Hayes, speaking for the applicants, said landscaping will be cleaned up and that the planned use is residential rental only, with no commercial use proposed.

The commission approved the application and then voted to authorize Biasuzzi to draft the written decision; Biasuzzi may issue the permit after the drafting and a commission signature. The hearing closed at 7:13 p.m.
