Board increases inspection fee, approves staffing and contract extension for Building Official services

They approved raising the administrative inspection fee to $70 per inspection effective March 31, 2025 and passed Resolution 2025-09 to lift the hiring freeze so the Building Official may hire a part‑time Construction Codes clerk to cover lunch hours and PTO. Building Official Raymond said the clerk position would allow the office to be open at lunch and to improve phone coverage. The board also approved up to $5,000 for computer maintenance and technology upgrades for Construction Codes inspectors.
