County Administrator David Schaeffer briefed the committee on water damage at the Civic Center and identified multiple county buildings in need of new roofing, with RFPs pending. DPW Supervisor Tony Parcher updated the committee on DPW matters and the committee approved carpet cleaning for health and administration buildings (totaling $5,085.60 from specified accounts) and authorized advertising an RFP for roof replacement at the DHD#10/Dispatch Building.
Parks & Recreation Director Williams presented the Log Lake operational plan and recommended opening Log Lake ahead of the Trout Festival, hiring a live‑in caretaker, replacing a camp store with vending machines, and adding a part‑time worker. Williams also asked the board to review Camp Spot reservation software due to expense. Commissioners requested monthly revenue and expense reports for Parks & Recreation and raised safety concerns about unsupervised children at the Kaliseum. The committee approved contract extensions and event agreements including a Yoga instructor contract, the Trout Festival agreement and a 4‑H spring soccer agreement.
