Road Supervisor Sean Mattern updated the board on road department operations during the Aug. 5 and Aug. 19 sessions. Mattern said mowing on county roads was nearly complete, that he picked up the new pickup and installed rubber mats and mud flaps, and that he hired Justin Pollman to work out of the Sherwood Shop, with a start date of Aug. 18, 2025. Mattern also said he will coordinate with Mouse River Park staff (Danny Schlosser) to retrieve a mower no longer in use and transfer it to courthouse staff member Chad Schmidt for use there.
The staffing and equipment updates were recorded in the minutes; the board approved routine travel requests and officer reports during the Aug. 19 meeting alongside other departmental business. No votes or dissent were recorded related to these operational updates.
