Renville County awards $2.06 million safety-project contract to Mayo Construction

The Renville County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on July 8 to award Project HLC-3800(021), a county-wide safety project, to Mayo Construction Company Inc. The board adopted Resolution 2025-17 after a June 13 bid opening showed Mayo Construction as the low bidder at $2,059,221.91; Commissioner Rick Haman introduced the resolution and Commissioner Jamee Hansen seconded it.
The resolution authorizes the board chairman to sign the contract and states that Renville County will reimburse the North Dakota Department of Transportation for any payments under the contract that are not collectible from the Federal Highway Administration. A pre-construction meeting for the project was attended by Chairman Andy Gates and Commissioner Rick Haman on July 23, 2025.
