Staff gave a multi-part update on GeoBond-funded projects, saying several bridges are under design while others are in active construction. "Kentucky Road Bridge is about 80% complete," an agency official told the committee, and the contractor has until mid‑October under contract but staff expect completion by the end of August.
Staff also summarized the Sidewalks‑to‑Schools package: Mill Creek Elementary work is nearly complete (construction ~90% complete and design 100% complete) while Castle Park is in design (about 60% complete). GeoBond overlays were reported as substantially complete for the GeoBond program (about 54 lane miles) with the street sales tax overlay at roughly 17.77 lane miles; staff said remaining loose ends will be finished soon and work was coordinated around city events and school schedules.
