Finance Manager Bobbi Johnson described most of the changes as housekeeping to finish defining the Finance Department's role. The amended resolution passed on a voice vote; Supervisor Schweiger recorded an abstention.
The resolution directs the Finance Committee to serve as the committee of jurisdiction for the Finance Department and aims to improve internal audit functions, external audit outcomes, and fiscal consistency across county departments. The board's action centralizes decision-making and sets a committee oversight structure for future finance policy.
