A lawmaker who joined the markup but is not a committee member said the measure is part of a broader youth-care package and voiced support: "All of this is focused on improving outcomes for our young people," the lawmaker said. Chairwoman Pinto said the change is both legally and practically necessary to ensure the appropriate committee chairs participate in CFRC reviews.
The committee unanimously approved the motion to move the print and report with leave for staff to make technical edits.
