The Box Elder County Commission on March 25 adopted Ordinance #646, vacating a historic trail right-of-way easement in Willard Canyon and authorizing the County Recorder to file certified copies of the ordinance and proof of publication.
Community Development materials and an attached Exhibit describe the centerline and survey for the historical Willard Canyon Trail and the ordinance record notes the Planning Commission held a public meeting on July 17, 2025 and the County Commission held its public hearing on March 11, 2026. The ordinance cites the statutory vacation process and findings under Utah Code §17-79-208 and §72-3-108 and states the vacation will not affect other existing public or private easements or utilities. The ordinance will take effect 15 days after passage.
