Murfreesboro Board of Zoning Appeals elects new chair

The Murfreesboro Board of Zoning Appeals opened its July 29 meeting by confirming a quorum and asking for nominations to fill the chair role.
One board member nominated Tim to serve as chair, and another member seconded the nomination. After the motion and second, the board conducted a roll-call vote and confirmed the new chair. As the roll call recorded, members responded in the affirmative and the chair-elect accepted the position, thanking the board: “I appreciate the confidence everybody has in me,” the new chair said.
The board then moved on to approve the minutes from the June 24, 2026 regular meeting without changes. The chair asked if there were any deletions or comments; none were offered and the minutes were adopted by roll call.
