Board recognizes staff and student achievements; student councils report

Mason Consolidated Schools recognized employees and a student for achievements at the Nov. 13 board meeting. Shawna Lucarelli, a high-school mathematics teacher, was honored as the district's September Staff Member of the Month and Todd Hodge, a CTE construction trades teacher, was honored as October Staff Member of the Month under sponsorship of Leski Wittman Insurance Agency. Senior Zhuoran Cai was recognized as a Commended Student in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program and will receive a BCSN Spotlight Scholar $1,000 scholarship; the Spotlight feature will air Dec. 14–Jan. 4.
Student council reports followed: Molly Sepulveda provided updates on high school student council activities and Madeline Kolbe reported on middle school student council activities. The minutes record no public comment during the public-comment period.
