Planning commissioners reviewed a map of a proposed solar installation sited in a pit on Furnace Road and expressed general support for the location. Mike Norris said the project will likely be a 3-megawatt installation on approximately 18.8 acres, and the Select Board had previously considered the site appropriate.
Chair Kevin Blow noted most of the project would be located in a pit and that members "were in agreement that it is a good project." Commissioners did not take a formal vote at the meeting; the project will proceed through the towns application and site-plan review process if an application is submitted.
