Phillips Event Center elevator repair ready to proceed when parts arrive, staff says

During consent-item questions a council member asked whether parts and contractor scheduling for an elevator upgrade at the Phillips Event Center (consent item 5B) were in place.
A staff/contractor representative (speaker 8) said, "Yes, they're ready, but they will have to come in and make sure that they're getting all the parts that we need because in this contract it's a turnkey and we've also gone a little bit further so that we have a 5 day process instead of a 5 or 6 week process." Staff clarified the contractor will not begin until all parts are on hand.
The council member acknowledged that parts lead times could delay the work into the next fiscal year if components are not immediately available; staff said they have ordered the parts and will coordinate to shorten the onsite timeframe once parts arrive.
