Land Bank appoints vice chair, secretary/treasurer and approves agenda

At its Jan. 20 meeting the Manistee County Land Bank Authority nominated and unanimously elected Gary Buren as vice chair and Eric Gustad as secretary/treasurer for 2026, approved the meeting agenda and ratified the Dec. 15, 2025 minutes.
Rachel Nelson, Chair of the Manistee County Land Bank Authority, called the meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. and opened nominations for officer positions. "It was noted that the County Treasurer is automatically the Chair of the Land Bank Authority," Nelson said when nominating proceeded.
Eric Gustad moved, supported by Duane Jones, "to nominate Mr. Gary Buren as Vice Chair and Mr. Eric Gustad as Secretary/Treasurer, close nominations, and cast a unanimous ballot for the two positions for 2026." The motion carried by unanimous vote. The board then approved the Jan. 20 agenda and the regular meeting minutes from Dec. 15, 2025, each by unanimous vote.
