Public Works reports water-line repairs, leaf pickup schedule and community center concrete progress

Councilman Melville told the council that NKY Water replaced nine parts on the water line serving the Valley View/Blossom Lane project and that Public Works will begin seasonal leaf pickup on Nov. 10, running through Dec. 12. He also said veteran banners will be removed and Christmas wreaths installed on city poles starting Nov. 17; concrete work at the community center is expected to finish by Friday.
Public Works Foreman Bowman reported no additional items. In related business Mayor Hamberg said SD1 has additional stormwater boxes to install on Valley View and Blossom Lane; the city plans a 50/50 cost match for those boxes when the street is repaved next year. Fischer Homes donated a structure from the River Roots event that Public Works assembled; the structure is at the Public Works garage for council members to inspect and decide on placement.
