Daggett planning board calls water conservation plan "complete and thorough," defers formal action

At its Feb. 17, 2026 work meeting in Manila, the Daggett County Planning and Zoning Board reviewed a final draft Water Conservation Plan intended for adoption into the Daggett County General Plan. Carrie Poulsen, the board secretary and alternate, presented the draft and the board members said the plan was "complete and thorough." The board took no action during the work meeting and agreed any formal decision would be handled at an upcoming regular meeting.
The board’s discussion did not identify outstanding changes; members reported they had reviewed the document and found it comprehensive. The presentation occurred at the Daggett County Courthouse Commission Chambers; the work meeting began at 5:00 p.m. and adjourned at 5:55 p.m. The board listed Chad Reed (Chair), Allan Wood (Vice Chair, acting chair for this meeting), Tamara Twitchell and Carrie Poulsen as present. The Planning and Zoning Board indicated staff will place the item on the agenda of a future regular meeting for formal action.
