Schwab and OAG deputies described coordinated work with the Department of Buildings to escalate enforcement on recalcitrant owners, and OAG's Consumer Mediation Team reported resolving thousands of housing‑related consumer complaints over the reviewed period.
Multiple public witnesses praised OAG work on tenant cases, attend/truancy mediation, domestic‑violence services and wage‑theft enforcement, though some staff and agency employees raised concerns about internal HR processes and investigation backlogs at OAG; the committee asked the AG for follow‑up on personnel and investigative timetables.
