County approves release of joint tax-abatement program, new JPA for Hilltop abatement and updates 2026–2030 CIP

Le Sueur County voted unanimously to release and terminate its prior joint tax-abatement program with the City of Le Sueur, approved a new joint powers agreement for a Highway 169 Hilltop property tax abatement, and adopted the updated 2026–2030 Capital Improvement Plan.
County Administrator Joe Martin presented three administrative items on Feb. 17. First, the board approved a resolution to release and terminate the prior Joint Tax Abatement Program with the City of Le Sueur. Second, the board approved a new City of Le Sueur and Le Sueur County Joint Powers Agreement related to a Highway 169 Hilltop Property Tax Abatement Program. Third, the board approved an updated 2026'2030 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
Each measure was moved, seconded and carried unanimously (4-0). The minutes record the actions by motion but do not include text of the resolution, the JPA agreement language, or detailed CIP project lists; those documents are recorded elsewhere in county files.
The board did not record specific implementation deadlines or funding allocations for projects in the approved CIP in these minutes.
