Le Sueur County holds public hearing on Vision 2050 comprehensive land use plan; 28 residents comment

Mojra Hauenstein, senior planner with Bolton & Menk, presented an overview of the Vision 2050 Comprehensive Land Use Plan at a Feb. 17 public hearing convened by the Le Sueur County Board of Commissioners.
The board opened the floor to public comment and the minutes record 28 individuals speaking or submitting written comment from communities including Le Sueur, Le Center, Waterville, Cleveland, Madison Lake and Montgomery. After the comments, the board closed public comment and scheduled another work session in a few weeks to continue review of the plan and public input.
The hearing is procedural and no formal action approving or rejecting the plan was recorded at this meeting; the county will continue deliberations at the upcoming work session.
