EDA outlines Hanover Farm Tour, Heart of Hanover awards and tourism discussions

Deputy Director Armon Smith told the Authority staff are continuing to work on identifying sponsors and finalizing programming and logistics for the Hanover Farm Tour to be held Oct. 10, 2026. He said staff are also planning the rollout of nominations and voting for the Heart of Hanover Business awards.
Smith added that Hanover County Economic Development, the EDA, Tourism and Planning have begun discussions of a possible Tourism Zone policy, and that staff are working with the Town of Ashland EDA to plan a joint meeting and networking event this spring.
