Community Resources staff asked Council members to mark calendars and volunteer for several spring events. The packet and staff updates listed Spring Senior Law Day on Thursday, March 26, 2026 (12:15 p.m.–4:00 p.m., Mechanicsville Baptist Church), the Spirit of Volunteerism Awards on Thursday, April 9, 2026 (6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., Atlee High School), and the Centenarian Celebration on May 21, 2026 at Covenant Woods.
Staff asked members to recruit volunteers to support registration, hospitality and outreach for these events. The Law Day materials included monthly income eligibility limits for legal services (single household $5,216/month; two-person household $7,050/month) and noted that documents will be prepared on site by volunteer attorneys.
Council members and Friends representatives were encouraged to publicize the events and to help secure volunteers and attendees.
