The Ozaukee County Public Safety Committee voted unanimously (5-0) to enter closed session at 4:06 PM on Feb. 21, 2025, under Section 19.85(1)(c) of the Wisconsin Statutes to conduct promotional interviews for detective candidates. Supervisor J. Hansher made the motion to enter closed session, and Supervisor T. Maguire seconded; a roll-call vote was taken with all members present voting aye.
The closed session was attended by Chairperson R. Nelson, Vice-Chairperson S. Rishel, Supervisors T. Maguire, J. Hansher and C. Taylor, Sheriff Knowles and Undersheriff Hermann. The committee commenced interviews of detective candidates during the closed session and later voted (motion by Supervisor Maguire, second by Supervisor Hansher) to reconvene into open session; the meeting returned to open session at 4:59 PM.
