Committee holds closed-session promotional interviews and certifies detective eligibility list

Chairperson R. Nelson announced a proposed closed session under Section 19.85(1)(c) of the Wisconsin Statutes to conduct promotional interviews for lieutenant candidates. Supervisor J. Hansher moved and Supervisor T. Maguire seconded the motion to enter closed session; a roll-call vote was recorded with all five members voting aye and the committee entered closed session at 9:10 AM. Interviews of detective candidates commenced in closed session.
The committee reconvened in open session at 10:32 AM on a motion by Supervisor S. Rishel, seconded by Supervisor C. Taylor; the motion carried 5-0. The committee reviewed and approved certification of the promotional eligibility list for detective positions and recorded that interviewing of candidates will continue Friday, Feb. 21 at 4:00 PM. The next committee meeting was set for March 18, 2025; the meeting adjourned at 10:33 AM.
