Administrator Benjamin (Ben) Elfelt updated the board on the Lab to Lakes reimbursement report and said a carp harvest may take place near the Linn Lake culvert this spring "if feasible." The board also heard that Chisago Lakes Township attorneys have not yet received direction from the Township Board on a possible road vacation near the North Center-North Lindstrom Channel.
EOR Water Resources Engineer Greg Graske updated the board on the conversion of modeling software that will be used to provide data to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources regarding water-level changes associated with a channel-widening project. Graske said results of the modeling may be available mid-summer.
Directors noted upcoming outreach booth dates at Kark Oskar Days (July 10-12) and Ki Chi Saga Days (Aug. 22-23) and heard that staff created a LID webpage to list fishing-line and lead-tackle recycling locations connected to the Hook, Line & Sinker program.
