Commissioner Rick Woodall said he is finalizing ARPA reporting and proposed spending the remaining approximately $26,000 to close the ARPA fund, while reserving funds to pay final consulting fees to Baker Tilly. Commissioner Beck suggested using some or all of the remaining ARPA balance toward courthouse chiller repairs.
Woodall also said the Community Foundation has begun the process of transferring funds that may only be used for maintenance of the local 'buzz bomb' public artifact. County Attorney Jim Ensley will meet with the foundation and the auditor to arrange the transfer. Woodall additionally urged department heads to review fuel budgets and identify potential shortfalls caused by recent higher fuel prices.
