New HR director introduced; Vernon Manor staffing remains a county priority

The Board introduced Trisha Lepke as the county's new Human Resource Director at the Feb. 16 meeting; Lepke said she started the previous Monday and invited supervisors and staff to stop in and say "Hi."
Lepke reported Vernon Manor remains the county's greatest staffing need and recruitment continues. The county recently adjusted its wage scale and has recruited one full-time certified nursing assistant (CNA) and one pool CNA. Officials said employee retention remains a challenge and that other vacancies include ADRC roles, a Sheriff's Department dispatcher, and potential postings in the Highway Department.
