Resident urges health inspection, raises debts and sewer damage concerns at trailer park

At the July 13 Selectboard meeting resident Buddy Boudle described a trailer formerly occupied by the late Darren Klebe as a "public health hazard," saying "the refrigerator in the trailer is filled with mold and the smell is horrible." Boudle said Klebe owed him $4,600 in back lot rent and that the town was owed $3,667.72 for back taxes and water and sewer charges. He said he had spoken to Klebe's son about the trailer and that he likely will need to proceed through probate to acquire the lot.
Boudle also raised a separate complaint about the Colebrook Water & Sewer Department after a curb stop was damaged: he said two department employees did not repair the clay pipe and he had to obtain replacement pipe himself. He told the board, "with the amount of taxes I pay to this town, I think I deserve better." Town Manager Tim Stevens advised Boudle to work through his lawyer and said he would contact the Health Officer to arrange an inspection of the trailer; no enforcement action was recorded at the meeting pending those follow-ups.
