Huachuca City Council approves consent agenda, presents holiday-decorating awards and hears reports

The Huachuca City Council approved the consent agenda on Jan. 22, which included approval of the Jan. 8, 2026 minutes and the Payment Approval Report. The motion to approve the consent agenda was moved by Johann Wallace and seconded by Cynthia Butterworth; the motion passed unanimously.
Mayor Wallace presented one award for best-decorated holiday homes to a present homeowner; the remaining winners were not present and will be given awards outside the meeting. Councilmembers provided brief reports: Councilmember Butterworth noted a recent food distribution; Councilmember Cardella said the landfill now accepts credit cards and that she will attend a Governor Hobbs event on Feb. 10; Councilmember Trate said she will attend an Upper San Pedro Partnership meeting in February. The meeting adjourned after a motion by Johann Wallace, seconded by Cynthia Butterworth, which passed unanimously.
