Nobles County approves multiple citizen and advisory board appointments

Approved appointments included Bruce Heitkamp (EMPAC administrative role), Jared Rozeboom (EMPAC), Bruce Hill (Zoning Board of Appeals), Darren Pater and Jesse Leopold (Developmental Achievement Center Board), Jensine Kinser (Library Board), Matt Wieneke (Park Board), Sara Henning (Extension Committee), Ryan Kruger and Zach Reker (EMPAC), Alan Ahlers and Alan Hennings (Planning/Zoning boards), David Nerem and David Benson (planning and health/community boards), and Layton Gruis (Kanaranzi–Little Rock Watershed Board of Managers). Several appointments were approved with recorded abstentions where a commissioner had a potential conflict (for example, Bob Paplow abstained on one appointment; Justin Ahlers abstained on others as recorded).
The board also approved its 2025 Commissioner appointments to outside boards and committees, confirming who will represent the county on AMC policy committees (examples listed in the agenda: Environmental & Natural Resources — Justin Ahlers; General Government — Gene Metz; Health & Human Services — Robert S.
