Cassie Braaten reported three homes are being built in Mayville this spring and summer. Mark Duncan said a spec house in Hatton sold and four lots remain available; he discussed coordinating with Lake Agassiz Development Group on home-building. David Knudsvig noted township annual meetings and an upcoming Hillsboro zoning meeting and said he attended the home rule charter meeting. Dawn Flaten said Galesburg is working on a blighted building ordinance, cleanup from recent storms and a community center grant application; she also promoted a Galesburg Park Committee pancake feed on April 12.
Other notes: Van Horn said Mayville State hosted regional basketball tournaments that brought roughly 75–100 out-of-town visitors on one night; Kurt Elliott noted helicopter and DEA activity in Galesburg and upcoming county load restrictions; Gary Nysveen highlighted an interstate project and a new water building; Vicky Grothmann reported two candidates filed for District 1 county commissioner and Ken Nesvig noted the county commission approved the home rule charter.
