Councilman Jimmy Minetti urges Clark residents to use biodegradable bags for grass clippings

Councilman Jimmy Minetti told listeners on the Clark Community Minute that the Department of Public Works collects grass clippings from May through October and that residents must place clippings only in biodegradable bags.
"Please only put grass clippings in those bags," Minetti said, adding that "those bags that have anything other than grass in them will not be picked up." He listed prohibited items as branches, sticks and mulch bags and recommended mulching as an alternative so homeowners would not need to bag clippings.
