Councilman Bender opened the agenda review meeting on July 29 and asked Mary, the council administrator, to read the items scheduled for the council’s Aug. 6 meeting. Mary said, “This month, the ordinances for introduction include 1 moratorium renewal in District 9, 5 development ordinances for zoning map amendments,” and she listed several other items to come before the full council.
The items Mary read aloud include a revocation of an unopened street in District 1; five finance ordinances (to be handled by the finance committee); an engineering ordinance to acquire servitudes for the Lock No. 2 bridge replacement in District 6; a civil DA ordinance for required servitudes tied to the Woodlands drainage project in District 7; and two code-amendment ordinances addressing utility service agreements and reverse reimbursements. Mary also noted a set of resolutions and other items, such as appointment confirmations and environmental audit reports. The agenda review committee voted to refer pulled items to the full council and to route finance-related ordinances to the finance committee for additional review.
