He described Lincoln Hill as a smaller alternative high school of about 120 students compared with roughly 1,300 students at Stanwood High School and emphasized the ability to provide more personalized academic support at Lincoln Hill.
Council members thanked Rogers and asked for clarifying details about roundtable conferences and school-year plans; Rogers explained roundtables are multi-teacher conferences similar to parent-teacher conferences but held with a roundtable format to allow multiple teachers to meet with students and parents. Council recognized his leadership and wished the students well on the trip.
