Butler County adopts Resolution 48-2026 to amend 2027 Five Year Secondary Roads Program

For bridge project BROS-C012(140)--5F12 (270th St over Landphere Creek) material bid and day labor construction were removed and funding moved from a 2029 Local/Contract $400,000 allocation to 2027 FA/HBP funding of $450,000. A box culvert project BROS-C012(139)-8J-12 (300th St) was changed from 2028 Local/Contract $200,000 to 2027 FA/HBP $300,000. The resolution cites Iowa Code section 309.22 and Iowa Code 309.23 and Iowa DOT Instructional Memorandum 2.050 as the authorities for initiating modifications to the program.
The resolution was recommended by County Engineer John Riherd and approved by Board Chair Greg Barnett with attestation by County Auditor Leslie Groen. The minutes record the amended fund totals for the accomplishment year with a net change of +$150,000 across funds (Totals changed from $24,614,291 to $24,764,291 in the record).
