Annie told the council the parish is about halfway through the fiscal year and noted timing differences in revenue collection across funds.
"The majority of that is coming from occupational licenses that were due by June 30. We've collected 96% of that — $3,100,000 of the $3,200,000 that we budgeted," Annie said. She added that utility fee revenues were at roughly 52.7% of budget and building permit fees at about 57%.
On gaming revenue, Annie said the parish had collected nearly $300,000 of approximately $350,000 budgeted for sports wagering, about 84% of the budgeted amount. Expenditures paid for the general fund were near 50% with another roughly 10% encumbered; similar mid‑year percentages were reported for sales‑tax district funds and capital transfers.
