St. Tammany sees modest sales‑tax gains; finance projects year‑end collections above budget

"Year to date, we're up about 3 to 4%," Annie said, adding that if the trend held the parish would realize about $83,000,000 in net collections this fiscal year — roughly $3,000,000 above what staff assumed in the current budget. She also said gross collections for the parish were budgeted at $94,000,000 and estimated total collections could be closer to $98,000,000.
The presentation separated district receipts from parish‑wide totals. For a smaller district — the Highway 21 Economic Development District — Annie reported May receipts of about $120,000, up roughly 4% from the prior year and projecting about $1.4 million for the year against a $1.2 million budget.
