The Commission reviewed and approved the county's Annual Financial Agreement with the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia on behalf of the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service for the term July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. The agreement sets county contributions for compensation and related costs for county Extension personnel supporting 4‑H and other Extension programs.
The county representative documented that the University will bill the county quarterly under the governing Memorandum of Understanding and asked that the final invoice be sent within 60 days after the agreement end date. The document on file lists categories such as salary, FICA, retirement, travel and operating costs and notes the county's fiscal contact as Thomas Weaver, County Manager.
