County approves school resource officer contract with New Richmond Schools starting Jan. 1, 2026

The Board of Clermont County Commissioners executed a Contract for Law Enforcement Services between the County and the New Richmond Schools Board of Education to provide one Contract Deputy to serve as the school resource officer at the New Richmond School main campus. The agreement is three years in duration (Jan. 1, 2026–Dec. 31, 2028). The New Richmond School District will be responsible for all personnel costs, 50% of patrol vehicle costs, and 50% of annual fees under the contract.
The contract was approved by the Board as a consent-item motion, and the action was recorded as executed in compliance with Section 311.29 of the Ohio Revised Code. County officials noted the cost-sharing arrangement and effective term dates in the formal record.
