Commissioners weigh potential JAG pre-award for forensic technology, raise budget concerns

Kenneth Mullis, attending on behalf of the Prosecutor and Coroner’s office, presented a potential Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) pre-award to fund forensic technology and laboratory capabilities. Commissioners asked detailed questions about future budget impacts, staffing and employee salary liabilities, and the sustainability of equipment purchases if grant funding were reduced or eliminated.
