Commissioners authorize $1.3M FTA grant and approve workforce mobility application to ODOT

The Clermont County Board of Commissioners voted to adopt Resolution 123-25 to authorize and execute Grant Application 62782025-1 with the Federal Transit Administration for $1,300,000.00, comprised of $680,000.00 in federal funding and $620,000.00 in state funding, to purchase a transportation study and reimburse operating expenses for Clermont Transportation Connection. The resolution passed on a recorded roll-call vote with Commissioners Batchler, Corcoran and Painter voting Yes.
Separately, the Board authorized filing an application with the Ohio Department of Transportation under the Workforce Mobility Partnership Program for $160,000 with a $40,000 local match (total project cost $200,000). The local match is to be provided by the Department of Community and Economic Development’s share of conveyance fees and County Administrator Thomas J. Eigel was authorized to execute any and all documents required for the ODOT application.
Both actions advance county transportation planning and workforce mobility efforts: the FTA award will fund a countywide transportation study and operating reimbursements, while the ODOT application is intended to support targeted workforce mobility projects through Clermont Transportation Connection.
