Citizen group urges board to act on Campbell plant and warns about battery storage projects

"We would request the Ottawa County Board place on its agenda in an upcoming meeting the new round of Save the Campbell resolutions," McCarter said. He urged the board to consider alternatives to Consumers Energy, including exploring a local electric cooperative to reduce residential rates and retain local control. His remarks also linked broader grid concerns and the federal MISO emergency declarations discussed later in the meeting.
