Staff provide verbal updates; next meeting set for June 9

Staff and partner agencies provided brief verbal reports during the May 12 meeting. Minutes note a BWSR (Jill) and WCA LGU (Allison) had no report; NRCS District Conservationist Loren’s update was presented (via Carrie Schultz), District Technicians Laura Quiring and Jacob provided verbal reports, Soil Health District Tech Molly Simmons and Farm Bill Biologist Harrison Quick gave updates, and the PF Precision Ag position remains vacant. Assistant Manager Carrie Schultz provided a verbal report as well.
The board approved the schedule of upcoming meetings (including a local working group on May 26, GBERBA Tech May 27, the June 9 board meeting, GBERBA Exec June 12, GBERBA Policy Sept. 25 and Area IV June 25) on a motion by Matt Wolle, seconded by Bret Braaten. The motion carried unanimously.
