During the May 12 meeting the Watonwan SWCD Board approved two Watershed-Based Implementation Fund (WBIF/GBERBA) contracts for well decommissioning. The contracts are listed as WBIF-WW-24-83-13 and WBIF-WW-24-83-14. Minutes list WBIF-WW-24-83-13 with an apparent typographic error in the estimated-cost line (‘1,4503’), and the recorded cost-share for that contract was $725 (50% cost share up to $1,000). Contract WBIF-WW-24-83-14 is recorded with an estimated cost of $2,335 and a $1,000 cost-share cap.
The motion to approve both contracts was made by Bret Braaten and seconded by Matt Wolle and carried unanimously. Staff will process these contracts under the FY24 Watershed-Based Implementation Funds practice for NRCS 351 well decommissioning.
