At the Aug. 11 meeting the Hyannis Area Schools Board approved an administrative hiring recommendation appointing Clint Taylor as Assistant Varsity Wrestling Coach. The motion, made by Kevin Anderson and seconded by Justin Vinton, passed with Justin Vinton, Kevin Anderson and Mark Vinton voting in favor and Clint Taylor abstaining.
The board separately approved compensation terms for the Head Varsity Wrestling Coach position: a 5.5% step with a 0.5% increase each year up to a five-year maximum. That pay-schedule motion passed unanimously among the members present. The minutes record the hire and the compensation change as distinct motions approved during the meeting.
