The Hyannis Area Schools Board of Education on Aug. 11 approved consent-agenda disbursements totaling $222,075.00 for the district general fund, and recorded activity fund and special building fund amounts of $11,364.71 and $122,571.90, respectively.
Board documents list several major payments included in the disbursements: ESU 16 fees of $23,000.00; Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance of $31,717.86; PREMA electricity charges of $5,774.04; and PyeBarker Fire and Safety inspections at $2,223.00. The board approved the consent agenda by motion of Clint Taylor, seconded by Kevin Anderson; voting aye were Justin Vinton, Kevin Anderson, Mark Vinton and Clint Taylor (Bob Meester and Chris Cover were absent).
The board also announced a budget hearing for Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025 at 6:00 PM and a Budget Workshop and regular board meeting on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025 (workshop 6:00 PM). No substantive amendments to the budget were recorded at the Aug. 11 meeting.
